01 — About this policy
Merge Cats Defender: TD (the "Game") is a merge tower-defense game published by Ghostbyte Games ("we", "us", "our") on the Apple App Store and Google Play (com.ghostbytegames.catdefenders). This policy explains what the Game collects and why. In short: it's a fully offline, single-player game with no accounts, and it collects very little.
No accounts. There's no login — no email, no password. Your progress is saved on your device.
02 — What we collect
- Usage & analytics data — gameplay events, an app-instance identifier, and device model / OS version, via Google Firebase Analytics, to understand how the Game is played and improve it.
- Crash & diagnostic data — crash logs and performance data, via Google Firebase Crashlytics, to fix bugs.
- Advertising data — device identifiers used to serve and cap the optional rewarded-video ads, via Google AdMob. See Advertising.
- Purchase data — purchase history for optional gem packs, processed via RevenueCat and Apple / Google billing, to deliver and restore your purchases. Tied to an anonymous app-user ID, not your identity.
03 — What we don't collect
The Game does not collect your real name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or any other sensitive personal data. We do not sell your data. Because the Game is offline single-player, your progress and inventory stay on your device.
04 — How we use it
- To run the Game and save your progress on your device.
- To understand gameplay and improve the Game (analytics).
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To show optional rewarded ads and prevent ad fraud.
- To deliver and restore optional gem-pack purchases.
05 — Advertising
The Game offers optional rewarded-video ads (watch an ad for in-game gems) served through Google AdMob. To deliver and cap ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier. You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device settings — on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

We rely on these providers, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase & AdMob — policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat (purchases) — revenuecat.com/privacy
- Apple (App Store billing) — apple.com/legal/privacy
07 — Children's privacy
The Game is family-friendly but is not directed to children under 13 for data purposes and is not part of the Apple Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
08 — Data retention & security
We collect minimal data and keep it only as long as needed to run the Game and its services. The small amount of data that leaves your device (analytics, ads, purchases) is sent over connections protected with TLS 1.2+. Most of your data — progress, inventory — never leaves your device.
09 — Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to access, delete, or opt out of certain processing of your data. Because the Game is anonymous and offline, you can clear local data by deleting the app; for anything else, email [email protected] and we'll help.
10 — Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game evolves. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
